The weekend is about to begin. Has your payment order to a supplier been processed before you leave the office on Friday? And what about the processing timelines on holidays?

Processing timelines at weekends and on public holidays

You can submit your payment orders 24 hours a day via the Rabo Mobile Banking App, Rabo Internet banking (Professional), Rabo Business Banking and the Rabofoon. Single payments will be credited directly to the account of the beneficiary also during the weekends and holidays, if the bank of the beneficiary supports the instant processing of payment orders . In the Rabo online channels it is displayed if your payment is credited directly to the beneficiary’s account. For payments to accounts with banks that do not support the instant processing of payments, a longer processing time applies. A longer processing time applies also to payment files.

Five examples:

You submit a single payment order of €20,- to an account with a bank which supports the instant processing of payments: the amount will be credited directly to the beneficiary account.

You submit a payment file to a bank account within The Netherlands: the amount will be credited to the beneficiary account the next working day.

You submit Euro’s to an account with a bank within The Netherlands, which does not support the instant processing of payments: the amount will be credited to the beneficiary the next working day.

You submit Euro’s to an account with a bank outside the Netherlands, but within the SEPA area: the beneficiary’s bank determines when the money is credited to the beneficiary account. We have no influence over when payments to other banks will effectively be credited on the beneficiary account.

You submit a payment in a foreign currency or a payment outside the SEPA area (World Payment): other processing timelines applies. The beneficiary’s bank determines when the money is credited to the beneficiary account.

Paper-based payments and PIN receipts

Is your payment a paper-based payment? These payment orders are only processed on working days and not during the holidays. PostNL delivers the paper-based payments to us from Tuesday until Saturday. PIN receipts will be credited directly on your bank account, also during the weekends and holidays.
